This study tour looked at how the former East German state of Saxony is one of the fastest growing business locations in Germany , and how Saxony’s entrepreneurship policies are driving this success. From microchips to aircraft recognition software, t he list of high-tech applications from Saxony is long - and the IT and telecommunications sectors in the Free State are correspondingly diverse. The silicon boom has given Dresden lowest unemployment rate of any city in the former East Germany.
